Bayern Munich signs three-year regional deal with Mega Casino World

Bayern Munich has signed a three-year commercial partnership with Asian gambling operator Mega Casino World, giving MCW Official Regional Partner status across parts of South, Southeast, Central and East Asia. The agreement begins with the 2026/27 season and runs until June 30, 2029, although neither company disclosed its financial terms.

Bayern announced the agreement on Aug. 24, four days before the defending Bundesliga champion opens its league season against VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena. MCW will receive marketing and promotional rights connected with Bayern across the covered Asian markets, adding another gambling company to the club’s commercial portfolio.

Mega Casino World operates online casino and sports betting products aimed primarily at customers in Asia. Its terms identify MCW Consultancy Ltd., registered in Anjouan in the Comoros, as the company behind the service and state that it operates under an Anjouan gaming license. Bayern has not published a country-by-country list for the new partnership, instead defining the territory through the four Asian regions covered by the deal.

MCW already has a relationship with German football through Bundesliga International, which signed the operator as a regional partner in December 2023. That original agreement granted marketing rights across 18 Asian territories including India, Bangladesh, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. MCW subsequently extended its Bundesliga relationship, making the Bayern agreement an expansion of an existing football sponsorship strategy rather than its first involvement in Germany.

Bayern executive board member and chief marketing and sales officer Rouven Kasper said the club sees Asia as an important commercial market and expects MCW to help expand its reach there. Bayern already has offices in Shanghai and Bangkok and representation in Seoul, giving the club permanent infrastructure in several of the markets targeted by the new agreement.

MCW director Jeosid Dave Monarca said the partnership forms part of the company’s international expansion through sport, pointing to Bayern’s global following as a way to reach more football audiences across Asia. The operator has followed the same model elsewhere in European football, including a regional sponsorship with Atlético Madrid that began in 2023/24 and was renewed through the end of the 2025/26 season.

Bayern already has a separate multi-year gambling partnership with Betano, signed in July 2025. Betano owner Kaizen Gaming identified Germany as one of its most important markets when that deal was announced, while the new MCW agreement is explicitly limited to Asian territories. The two operators can therefore sit in the same sponsorship portfolio while targeting different parts of Bayern’s international audience.

Germany’s 2021 State Treaty on Gambling allows licensed gambling companies to advertise and sponsor sport under restrictions, while advertising and sponsorship for unauthorized gambling are prohibited. The treaty also limits how gambling can be promoted around live sport and restricts online casino advertising between 6am and 9pm. MCW’s regional designation keeps the newly announced commercial rights focused outside Germany rather than presenting the company as Bayern’s domestic gambling partner.

Mega Casino World joins Bayern after the club won a second consecutive Bundesliga title in 2025/26 and opened the new campaign with a 2-1 Supercup victory over Borussia Dortmund on Aug. 22. The three-year agreement will now cover Bayern’s next three seasons as MCW adds one of Europe’s largest clubs to a football sponsorship portfolio that already includes Bundesliga International and Atlético Madrid.
