Stake reports more than 9.1bn casino bets in September

Stake logged more than 9.1 billion casino bets and almost 70 million sportsbook bets in September 2026, according to the operator’s own monthly figures. Online slots made up 2.8 billion of those casino bets and Stake Original Dice another 2.3 billion, though none of the numbers have been independently audited.

Casino activity has climbed steadily through recent months, going from 8.15 billion bets in June to more than 8.6 billion in July and over 8.8 billion in August before passing 9.1 billion in September. Stake’s published figures for September 2025 showed 1.89 billion casino bets, which puts this year’s total at nearly five times higher, although the company doesn’t explain its counting methodology in enough detail to confirm the numbers are directly comparable across the whole period.

Dice alone accounted for roughly a quarter of September’s total bet count, underlining how much of the casino’s activity runs through Stake Originals. The game logged 2.51 billion bets in June and 2.59 billion in August before dipping to 2.3 billion last month. Its rounds are short enough that players can bet far more often than on conventional slots or live tables, so the overall wager count measures activity rather than how much money is actually being staked.

Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza 1000 produced September’s largest casino payout at $30.05 million, while the biggest single wager was $3.65 million on Privé Lounge Baccarat 6. Both topped Stake’s August figures, when the largest win was $18.64 million on 5 Lions Megaways 2 and the biggest wager $3.25 million on Privé Lounge Baccarat.

Football stayed the most popular sport across almost 70 million sportsbook bets in September, and the largest sports payout was $2.25 million from a nine-selection accumulator spanning La Liga and EFL football, baseball, and the NFL. Sportsbook volume came in just under August’s 70 million-plus and above the 65 million recorded in June, which suggests activity has held around that level through most of the summer rather than hitting a new monthly high in September.

Stake reported 9.77 million sportsbook bets in September 2025, so year over year the gap is far wider, with this September’s count around seven times that. As with the casino figures, there’s no independently audited breakdown behind the monthly updates.

Valkyrie topped Stake’s September game rankings, with Tome of Hercules drawing 51.1 million bets to become the most-played newly added game. Donut Gaming’s Arch Angel followed with more than 20 million, and Pragmatic Play’s Thunder vs Underworld 250 passed 17 million. Valkyrie also supplied the two most-played titles in Stake’s exclusive category, with Odin’s Vault logging 130.8 million bets and Waylanders Forge passing 73 million.

Odin’s Vault had already passed 119 million bets in its debut month of August, so its monthly count kept growing even after it dropped out of the new-release rankings. Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Rock and Roll came in behind the two Valkyrie games with 72.1 million September bets, and Big Bass BOOM went past 52 million.

Casino turnover, sportsbook handle, gross gaming revenue, and active-player numbers are all missing from Stake’s monthly update, so the 9.1 billion figure can’t be read directly as financial growth. The rising bet counts still continue a trend visible across 2026, with casino activity going from 8.15 billion bets in June to more than 9.1 billion three months later while sportsbook volume has stayed close to 70 million a month.
