Fanatics becomes official NFL sportsbook and online casino partner

Fanatics NFL

Fanatics Betting & Gaming has signed a multi-year deal with the NFL that makes Fanatics Sportsbook an official sports betting partner of the league and Fanatics Casino an official online casino partner. The agreement arrives less than a month before the 2026 regular season begins and restores a sportsbook sponsor category that the NFL had left empty since April.

The non-exclusive agreement gives Fanatics access to NFL media inventory, including in-game advertising and sponsorship opportunities through the league’s broadcast partners. Fanatics will also receive hospitality rights and premium fan experiences connected with the Super Bowl and other major NFL events. Neither side has disclosed the financial terms or exact length of the partnership.

Fanatics is currently the NFL’s only official sportsbook and online casino partner, but the non-exclusive structure leaves the league free to sign additional operators. FanDuel, DraftKings and Caesars became the NFL’s first official US sports betting partners in 2021, when the league opened the category following the spread of regulated sports betting across the country.

The NFL entered April without an official sportsbook after its agreements with all three operators expired. Sports Business Journal reported at the time that the league had generated an estimated $30 billion in legal betting volume during the previous NFL season, but FanDuel, DraftKings and Caesars still declined to exercise options to continue their sponsorships.

FanDuel and DraftKings remain in talks with the NFL, while Caesars is not currently expected to pursue another league-wide agreement. Rising costs for official streaming data supplied by Genius Sports have been a sticking point in negotiations with FanDuel and DraftKings. Sportsbooks need access to the NFL’s official data to qualify for league and team sponsorships and to advertise during games.

Genius Sports remains the NFL’s exclusive distributor of official real-time statistics, Next Gen Stats and betting data under a separate agreement running through the end of the 2029 season. Its feeds support products including player props, same-game parlays and live betting, while Genius says its NFL data reaches more than 98% of the regulated US sports betting market.

Fanatics already had several substantial NFL relationships before adding betting rights. The company became the league’s exclusive on-site retail partner for events including the NFL Draft, Super Bowl, international games and Pro Bowl under an agreement announced in April. Fanatics also operates NFL e-commerce businesses and, through Topps, holds the exclusive NFL and NFLPA trading-card license under another multi-year deal signed earlier this year.

Fanatics Sportsbook is now available in 23 states and Washington, DC, covering around 95% of what the company considers the addressable US online sports betting market. Fanatics entered sports betting nationally through its $225 million acquisition of PointsBet’s US operations in 2023 and 2024, giving it an existing customer and licensing base rather than requiring it to enter each state from scratch.

The NFL’s 2026 regular season begins Sept. 9 when the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks host the New England Patriots. Fanatics will enter that game as the league’s only current official sportsbook partner, while negotiations with FanDuel and DraftKings leave open the possibility that the NFL will have several betting sponsors again before or during the season.
